MFSC — one cart, five shop functions
A single cart that assists you through the entire build of a piece of furniture — moving parts, working at the right height, assembling, gluing, drying. It replaces a shop full of single-purpose carts you don’t have room for.

Five tools in one footprint
- Parts & panel cart — move work from machine to machine in one trip; hold panels at the saw instead of stacking them on the floor.
- Height-adjustable workbench — from 62 to 90 cm in 30 mm steps (24.4″–35.4″), with a fully mechanical, automatic lift designed from scratch for this cart. No more working on your knees.
- Assembly table — adjustable height assembly, the feature most shops are missing between “the floor” and “the top of the main bench”.
- Glue-up station — flip side of the top with notches that hold parallel clamps (Bessey KRV-style) upright. Glue drips under the top, your main bench stays free, and you can roll the whole glue-up away to cure.
- Drying rack — perforated stiles lock onto the table at any spacing and store inside the cart with their sticks.
In MFT mode the working height matches an MFT table, so it docks naturally into an MFT-based shop.
Three years of engineering, honestly told
The idea dates back to 2014; combining a bench, a cart, a rack and a height adjustment reliably took until 2017 to solve — the side-arm design and the lift mechanism were the hard parts. The result has been used daily, in pairs, in a production furniture shop since. This is the most advanced plan in the range, and the build reflects it: take your time, follow the manual, and you’ll own the most versatile cart in your shop.
What’s in the plan
- 30+ page PDF manual with photos of every step
- Material list, cut list, printable full-size templates, SketchUp 3D model

Builders speak
“Impressive plan as always. It is a pleasure to construct using your detailed plans and descriptions.” — builder & repeat customer
“This dude’s systems are very nicely thought out.” — build-thread author, Sawmill Creek forum (USA)
“I purchased the MFTC plans years ago — I enjoyed building it as much as I have enjoyed using it. I will be purchasing the plans for the MFSC.” — woodworker, USA
Good to know
- Print templates at full size, then check the reference dimensions printed on them.
- The lift arms make a built-in full-sheet tilting loader impractical — an add-on in panel-cart mode is the community’s suggested route.
- One side of the top can be adapted into a cutting, sanding, downdraft or router table — the structure is designed to be customised.
